hopsWe try to minimise the risk of all forms of pollution and nuisance, and of course we comply with all relevant environmental legislation.

We operate in an environmentally responsible way to protect and enhance our people, brands, and communities and are committed to supporting environmental sustainability and bio-diversity. We achieve these commitments by meeting measurable standards of performance on those key aspects of our operations that have environmental impacts. We encourage our business partners, suppliers and contractors to adopt a similarly responsible approach.

The Board determines our environmental policy and the Environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, chaired by the Managing Director of Marston's Beer Company, is responsible for policy implementation.

Our production sites at Wolverhampton and Burton have to comply with the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) standards as regulated by the Environment Agency. The Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control regulations employ an integrated approach to control the environmental impacts of certain industrial activities. It involves determining the appropriate controls for industry to protect the environment through a single permitting process.
